4 simple tips to get rid of back acne

Do you have terrible breakouts all over your back? The dirt and moisture that gets trapped by your clothing is the culprit. However, a gentle and well-balanced beauty regimen can help you get a smooth as a baby’s back. Just follow these tips by dermatologist Sejal Shah. 1. Exfoliate Just giving your back a scrub with a washcloth will slough away the dead skin cells. Exfoliating won’t reduce the existing bumps on your back, but it will help prevent them in the future. Unlike your face, the pores on your back are larger and more prone to getting clogged. So you need to exfoliate your back two-three times a week to keep the pores free of debris and dead cells. Just be sure not to rub your skin too vigorously as it can damage your skin and leave behind scars. Use natural exfoliants such as lemon juice -- simply squeeze the juice of a lemon and dip a cotton ball into the bowl. Apply it directly and leave it for 10 minutes before washing it with lukewarm water. Use this every alternate day until the pimples are gone. 2. Apply a benzoyl peroxide cream Use a benzoyl peroxide cream or salicylic acid cleanser twice a week to remove the excess oil, bacteria and dirt from the skin surface. Benzoyl peroxide is antiseptic that will dry up the pimples on the back and prevent new breakouts. Also, be sure that the ointment is fully dried before you wear your clothes. Apply the tea tree essential oil directly on the affected area. Just be sure that you dilute equal parts of oil and water before application. Leaving sweat-soaked clothing on the skin surface can lead to breakouts. You can also rub a hot towel on your back. This will open the pores and help the acne drain as you slough off the dead skin.
